Texans take meet

The Northwest Texans and Lady Texans had a good showing at the Fossil Ridge Relays Thursday.

Northwest’s boys won the event with a total of 126 points. Trinity was second with 102, and Keller third with 98.

The Lady Texans took second place overall with 119 points. Southlake captured the top spot with 135, and Arlington Lamar was third with 111.

Below is the Northwest athletes that finished in the top six in each event:

VARSITY GIRLS

Long jump: 1. Koto, 17-7.

Triple jump: 3. Koto, 36-3.

High jump: 3. Kreig, 5-0.

Pole Vault: 1. Frier, 12-6.

Discus: 1. Simpson, 123-4; 2. Giddon, 106-2; 6. Hardin, 92-2.

Shot: 3. Simpson, 33-5.

3200: 1. Chavez, 11:26; 3. Bohr, 11:49.

800: 3. McCann, 2:24.

100 hurdles: 6. Kelly, 16.60

100: 5. Koto, 12.28.
