The Bridgeport Sissies opened the softball season with a 10-3 win over Lake Worth Monday.
Bridgeport (1-0) scored seven runs in the first two innings and kept Lake Worth off the scoreboard until the sixth.
Cheyenne Davidson led the way with four hits and four RBI’s. Kensley Turner had two hits and an RBI.
Taylor Emola pitched five shut out innings only giving up one hit, no walks and recorded five strikeouts.
The Sissies will compete in the Whitesboro Tournament this weekend.
BOYD 10, NOCONA 0
The Lady Jackets scored eight runs in the first two innings and cruised to a 10-0 victory over Nocona Monday.
Chelsea Arlington pitched a no-hitter with a strikeout in five innings.
Boyd (1-0) was led at the plate by Britney Howard and Chandler Hammon who each had two hits and two RBI’s.
Arlington added a three-run homerun.
The Lady Jackets will travel to the Peaster Tournament this weekend.
