{{{*}}}After clinching the final playoff spot out of District 9-2A, the Boyd Lady Jackets doubled up the Paradise Lady Panthers Tuesday, 18-9.

Boyd jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but Paradise responded with four runs in the third to take the lead.

The Lady Jackets did not let them have it long, as Boyd scored five runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and four runs in both the sixth and seventh.

Boyd pounded out 19 hits while Paradise had 12.

Paradise’s Tiffany Stinnett took the loss.

Chelsea Arlington got the win, going all seven innings, allowing 12 hits and striking out 10.

Chandler Hammon and Kassidy Lester each had home runs. Lester finished with five RBI’s. Hammon had a total of four hits.

Arlington, Kallie Tyner, Gabby Saldivar and Savannah Foster all had two hits.

Hannah Eisen had three hits and an RBI for Paradise. Jett Preather had three hits and two RBI’s. Taylor Rector finished with two hits.

Boyd will begin the playoffs Thursday against Maypearl. Time and location of the series is yet to be determined.

SANGER 13, BRIDGEPORT 2

Sanger broke open a 2-2 tie in the fourth inning on their way to a 13-2 win over Bridgeport (12-11, 2-5) Tuesday.

The Sissies’ offense struggled with Diana Garcia getting their only hit. Kensley Turner came up with Bridgeport’s other RBI.

Haley Guinn pitched four innings giving up two runs on six hits.

Bridgeport was set to end their season Friday at Gainesville.
