The Slidell Lady Hounds took an early lead and kept Midway from rallying back Tuesday. Slidell (12-13, 3-4) led throughout in their 40-28 victory.

“We built an early lead and managed to keep pulling away from there,” Slidell coach Cody Vanover said.

Caitlin Pruett scored 24, including six 3-pointers. Ashton Stroope finished with eight, and Kylie Franklin had five. Jessy Goode tossed in four, and Fernanda Martinez added one.
