The Bridgeport Sissies claimed first-place at the Perrin Invitational Wednesday.
Diana Garcia led the charge with a third-place finish in a time of 14:20.
“Bringing home the big first-place plaque and a lot of medals was a lot of fun for the girls,” Bridgeport coach Dayna Hudson said. “Diana Garcia looked like her old self running stronger and passing people one after another in the second mile.
“I hope these girls now show up every morning working harder and harder with a good memory of what first place feels like. I was very proud of all seven of them.”
Lacey Erwin took sixth in 14:53, and Naomi Baca secured eighth with a time of 15:11. Liz Weidemann ran 15:18 for ninth. McKena Myers placed 14th in 15:50.
Dolores Amador finished 20th with a time of 16:30, and Jodyn Armstrong ran 25th in 16:48.
