In their final home game of the season, the Bridgeport Sissies (14-17, 0-7) fell 58-34 to the Sanger Lady Indians.
Karlee Godwin and Sabrina Garza, the two seniors, played their final game on home court.
Sanger used a strong second quarter, where they outscored the Sissies 26-3 to pull away. The Lady Indians led 37-10 at the half and cruised the rest of the way for the victory.
“I was proud of the way our kids put up a fight against a quality squad in Sanger,” Bridgeport coach Dallas Taylor said. “We are still looking for a complete game. We made some adjustments at halftime and the ladies did well with them. A thank you goes out to our seniors. They have left positive hand prints all over our program, and it has been an honor to be their coach.”
Garza led the way for Bridgeport with 20 points. She also had four steals and pulled down 10 rebounds.
Lauren Stowers added four. Elaina Peyton and Landrie Walsh each scored three.
The Sissies wrapped up their season Tuesday night at Gainesville.
