The Sissies got off to a rough start, and Sanger made them pay Tuesday. The Lady Indians led 38-15 at the half and continued to pull away in the final two quarters for an 80-39 victory.
“When you are the youngest and smallest team in the district, you have to maintain your focus and execute every night to be in ball games,” Bridgeport coach Dallas Taylor said. “Sanger is not a 40-point better team than we are.”
Bailey Thompson led the Sissies with 11, and Cheyenne Davidson added eight. Lauren Stowers and Tylar Chapa each finished with six. Landrie Walsh tossed in five.
