The Bridgeport Bulls were searching for their first win of the season on a road trip to Princeton, but the Panthers dominated from start to finish in a lopsided 68-0 rout Friday night at Panther Stadium.

On the fourth play of the game Princeton running back Trey Jackson ripped off a 46-yard run down the left sideline.

The speedy senior proceeded to rack up 201 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries, an astounding 16.75 yards per carry.

On Bridgeport’s first possession they went three and out and were forced to punt. Princeton quarterback Jourdan Blake faked a handoff on the first play of the drive and dashed untouched 70 yards for a touchdown.

Bridgeport had no reply for Princeton’s fast start. Instead Bull quarterback Trey Cook threw an interception on the first play of their second possession. The short field set up a quick 32-yard touchdown pass from Blake to receiver Jakari Dillard.

It was the first of four interceptions Cook threw that the night.

The second quarter proved to be worse for the Bulls as the Panthers posted 30 more points, taking a 51-0 lead in the locker room.

On the first play of the second half, Cook was picked off again, setting up an easy touchdown run for Blake, who had two rushing and two passing touchdowns on the night.

Bridgeport could get no momentum on the ground or in the air. The offense didn’t make a first down until the second half. They also never acquired good field position. The Bulls didn’t even cross midfield until the final second of the game, and that came on a facemask penalty against

Bridgeport falls to 0-5 on the season. Next Friday they travel to Graham to face a ranked opponent on the road. Princeton moved to 5-0 for the year.
