The Paradise Lady Panthers (5-7, 0-1) dropped their district opener to Ponder Tuesday, 5-2.

Taylor Rector and Vanessa Guiterrez led the offense with a couple of hits each.

Tiffany Stinnett took the loss giving up three hits and striking out seven.

The Lady Panthers will travel to Alvord Tuesday.
