Chico hosted a boys last chances qualifier meet Thursday at the Chico High School Gym. Out of 18 teams participating, Chico finished fifth, Decatur sixth and Boyd took 13th.

Chico was in the running for second, but Trevor Richard suffered an injury during his deadlift in the 123 class.

“The meet went well,” Chico coach and meet director Heath Tullous said. “Our guys did awesome.”
