Nicole Neighbors raced to a second-place finish, helping lead the Decatur Lady Eagles to gold at the Sanger Invitational Saturday.
Decatur scored 30 points to top second-place Argyle with 56. Sanger was third with 75.
Neighbors finished the course in 12:54. Argyle’s Laina Sorensen won the individual title with a time of 12:28.
Decatur’s Jessica Kyle finished in 13:14 while Haley Dennard had a time of 13:35.
Paola Palomo ran 13:45 and Georgina Palomo finished in 13:51.
Hope Fuller clocked 13:55 and Morgan Haney ran it in 13:57. Nancy Torres completed the race in 14:03.
The Decatur boys were edged out by Sanger Saturday. The Indians won the meet with 35 points, while second-place Decatur came in with 50.
Aubrey was third with 93.
Taylor Clayton led the Eagle effort with 16:37, good enough for silver overall. His rival, Sanger’s Jacob Perry, took the gold with a time of 16:28.
Tyler Wilson ran 18:20 and Austin Poole turned in a time of 19:07. Joaquin Aldape secured a 19:24.
Juan Gamino finished in 19:29 and Riley Keller was right behind in 19:30.
Bryce Hoyt had a time of 20:11 and Hunter Helm completed the race in 20:33.
