Decatur (13-0) fell behind early Friday against Bowie but battled back with a strong third quarter to overtake the Lady Jackrabbits, 50-43.
“We got behind early because of some hot shooting in the first quarter by Bowie,” Decatur coach Billy Garner said. “After that we settled down defensively and executed better offensively.
“We have to hand it to our kids, they battled all night long. This team has been giving this kind of effort all season long.”
Katie Isham led the way with 14 and Murphy Graham added 11.
Shelby Drews finished with 10. Haley Dennard tossed in seven and Traci Hale scored six.
Decatur will compete Thursday through Saturday in the Whataburger Tournament at Saginaw High School.
