The Decatur swim team competed at the Wichita Falls Dual Meet over the weekend. The Lady Eagles won the meet with 97 points edging out WF Rider who finished with 92.
The Eagles took third with 28 points. WF Rider won the boys division with 146.
Both teams will compete in the district meet Saturday at the Denton ISD Natatorium. The timed swimming finals are set to begin at 2 p.m.
Four boy swimmers missed the meet for Decatur, so Boyd’s Jake Bryans joined the Eagle relay teams for exhibition. The boy’s relay team consisting of Bryans, Daniel Smyers, Dylan Carter and Chase McBride took second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:12. The group took third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:47.
The Lady Eagle relay team of Madeleine Semmelman, Baley Phariss, Katherine Rowden and Haley Dennard too first in the 200-yard medley relay and picked up another first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:55.
