Lady Bulldogs outplay Ponder, 60-35

The No. 9 Alvord Lady Bulldogs ended the regular season Tuesday with a 60-35 win over Ponder.

Alvord (23-11, 9-3) finished tied for second place in District 9-2A and were to have a one game playoff for second place against Paradise Friday.

Ponder jumped out to a 15-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Bulldogs then outscored the Lady Lions 16-6 in the second and never looked back.

Carley King led the way with 21, and Lauren Hart added 14. Ariel Rogers scored 10, and Marissa Schedcik scored nine. Sam Hahn and Katie Claborn each finished with three.
