The Bulls couldn’t keep up with the No. 5 team in Class 3A, Kennedale, Tuesday. Bridgeport (2-5) only trailed by nine at the half, but gave up a 12-0 run early in the third and couldn’t recover, eventually falling 86-55.
“It was great to see our team battle against one of the top programs in the state,” Bridgeport coach Alan Green said. “The quicker we get better at taking care of the ball, the better our chances will be to stay in games against more athletic teams.”
Dalton Hudson led the way with 15, and Alex Samples had 12. Derrick Stanford added 11, and Stephen Howdeshell tossed in seven.
The Bulls travel to Henrietta Monday.
