‘Jackets trounce three in tourney

{{{*}}}The Boyd Lady Jackets got off to a tremendous start at the Peaster Tournament Thursday.

Boyd (4-0) opened the tournament with an 11-7 win over Olney, after pounding out 12 hits. Britney Howard led the way with three hits and Chelsea Arlington picked up the win.

The Lady Jackets edged Krum in their second game, 6-5. Boyd scored five runs in the first inning to propel to them to the win. Chandler Hammon got the victory.

Boyd shutout Maypearl in their final game of the day, 2-0. Both runs came in the top of the seventh inning. Savannah Foster had two hits to lead the offense.

Arlington picked up her second win of the day, going all seven innings in the circle.
