On March 9, Bridgeport Director of Athletics Danny Henson was inducted into the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Athletic Hall of Fame.

This was the first class for the newly created hall of fame for the school district. The induction banquet was done in the same format as the NFL Hall of Fame ceremony with a person giving an introduction speech, and then the inductee giving a speech. Henson’s longtime friend and teammate Ricky Corbin, who now lives in Paradise, gave the introduction speech for Henson to the crowd of around 300.

The committee, who chose this inaugural class, followed a set of standards which includes athletic achievements while at Boswell High School and achievements in their college careers. They also considered the achievements of the inductees in their lives after college.

“It was a great honor for me to be inducted into this hall of fame, and my plaque at the Boswell gym will always be a source of pride for me,” Henson said. “I was very grateful to all of my Boswell friends and my family who honored me with their presence at the banquet.”
