Eagles struggle at Princeton

The Decatur Eagles dropped two more games on Friday at the Princeton Tournament. Decatur (4-9) fell to Dallas HSAA 10-1.

The game was scoreless until HSAA put up seven runs in the bottom of the third to pull away. They plated three more in the fifth.

Dewey Dovel led the offense with three hits. Austin Givens, Christian Carrillo, Erik Elder and Nick Trachta each had singles.

Paris edged Decatur 9-6. The Eagles held a 6-2 lead in the third inning but gave up three in the third, one in the fifth and three more in the sixth.

Dovel and Cain Lowe led the offense with three hits. Clayton Egle finished with two.
