Eagles drop in Princeton

The Decatur Eagles (4-8) dropped their first two games of the Princeton Tournament Thursday. The Eagles fell to Athens in their second game of the day, 7-3.

After leading 3-2 going to the seventh, the Eagles gave up five runs in the final frame. Erik Elder took the loss.

Cain Lowe, Christain Carrillo and Clayton Egle each had a hit.

Decatur fell to Princeton in their opener, 12-2. The Panthers scored five in the second and seven more in the third to put the game away. Clayton Egle and Austin Givens each had an RBI.

The Eagles will return home Wednesday to host Gunter.
