Decatur topples Gainesville

The fourth-ranked Decatur Lady Eagles ended the first round of district play unbeaten with a win over the Gainesville Lady Leopards Friday.

Decatur (27-7, 4-0) swept the match 25-20, 25-15, 25-8.

Cooper Martin led with 16 kills and 10 digs. Caroline Lowery added eight kills and 11 digs.

Makayla Mayfield put down six kills and had 10 digs. Stormi Leonard finished with two kills and 12 digs. She also dished out 31 assists and served an ace.

Serena Estrada recorded 13 digs.

Decatur heads to Krum this Friday to start their second run through district.
