A select few of the Decatur swim team took part in the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association’s Invitational in Frisco over the weekend.

Katie Rowden placed fourth overall in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.

The 400-relay team of Kate Grant, Allie Blevins, Caraline Cowdrey and Rowden advanced to the consolation finals, but did not come away with a place.

Blevins also qualified for the meet in the 200-freestyle and 500 freestyle but did not advance to the finals.

The meet was a qualifier meet through TISCA and it counts toward scores that go to all-state teams.

Wednesday the entire team will travel to The Colony for a dual meet.
