The Lady Eagles put up all 14 runs in the first four innings while shutting out the Sissies.

“Our hitting came alive and we played good defense,” Decatur coach Carly Cloud said. “We just came ready to play.”

Bridgeport only came away with five hits while committing five errors.

Decatur’s Madison Minor kept the Sissies off-balance all afternoon, as she went all five innings to get the win.

“She did a good job of getting ground balls and pop ups,” Cloud said.

Taylor Emola took the loss for Bridgeport, lasting only two innings and giving up seven runs.

With a playoff spot clinched the Lady Eagles will wrap up the regular season Friday at Sanger.

Bridgeport will end their season Friday at Gainesville.
