Taylor Clayton raced to an eighth-place finish at the Southlake Carroll Invitational Saturday. He helped the Eagles to 20th place in the Class 5A division with 477 points.
The hosts won the meet with 50 points, while Northwest took fifth with 208.
Clayton ran a time of 15:48, which was seven seconds ahead of Northwest’s Zach Kirkland in ninth.
Brandon Rivera finished 102nd in a time of 17:40. Tyler Wilson was 116th in 17:48, and Austin Poole captured 137th in 18:18.
Riley Keller placed 156th with a time of 18:58.
Joaquin Aldape ran 19:28, good enough for 170th.
Juan Gamino took 179th in 19:28 and Hunter Helm was 187th in 19:46.
Jacob Suchors of Northwest finished 30th in 16:32. Trevor Bohr held on for 56th in 17:09, and Jackson Miller captured 61st in 17:13.
David Flanagin placed 71st in 17:23.
