Chico takes pair

The Chico Dragons (6-4) took down Ballinger at the Ballinger Tournament Saturday, 9-4. Chico scored all nine of their runs in the first three innings and held on for the win.

Dustin Hardee picked up the win on the mound. Dalton Tullos led the offense with three hits and two RBI’s.

On Friday, the Dragons split two with Ballinger. They lost 7-2 and won 10-1.

Kalan Johnson took the loss in the first game. Marshall Anderle and Dylan Hightower each had an RBI.

In the victory, Dustin Hardee went the distance for the win, striking out seven. Tullos had three hits. Hunter Clarke, Anderle, Jericoe McGuire, Hardee and Hightower all had two hits.

On Thursday, Chico fell to Abilene, 12-6. Tullos took the loss on the mound, but helped his own cause with three hits. Hunter York finished with two hits and an RBI.
