In their district opener Tuesday, the Chico Dragons (11-10, 1-0) defeated Ranger 70-35.

Dylan Hightower led the way with 25 points. Chris Gilmore added 19, and Hunter Clarke tossed in 14.

Chico will continue district play Tuesday when they host Perrin.
