The Bridgeport Bulls ended their season with a double overtime 76-69 win over Krum Friday.
Bridgeport trailed by five at the half but rallied to tie the game in the fourth when Reese Read hit a shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.
In the second overtime, Blake Arrington and Read led the Bulls down the stretch to take the seven-point victory. Read ended the game with 24 points and 21 rebounds. It was the second time this season he recorded at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in one game.
“We finished up our season with our best game of the year,” Bridgeport coach Brian Miller said. “We played as hard as we possibly could. We made huge shots, had big defensive possessions and had seniors step up and not let us lose.”
Stephen Howdeshell finished with 17, and Arrington added 16. Derrick Stanford had 10 and Samples scored six.
