With a win over Gainesville Friday, the Bridgeport Sissies ended the season on a good note. Bridgeport rallied in extra innings with two runs in the top of the ninth.
The Sissies (13-11, 3-5) posted their first winning season in 15 years and finished one win shy of the playoffs.
Haley Guinn got the start, giving up five runs in over four innings of work. Taylor Emola got the win in relief, pitching the final three innings, giving up one hit and recording five strikeouts.
Diana Garcia led the offense with three hits and an RBI. Kendall Vawter had two hits, two RBI’s and two stolen bases. Laney Campbell connected on a single and had two RBI’s.
