Bridgeport overcame a bad first quarter on their way to their first district victory of the season Tuesday.
The Bulls (14-13, 1-3) defeated Krum, 52-50.
After being down by 14, Bridgeport battled back to take a five-point lead with 3:44 left.
“We had a great effort tonight,” Bridgeport coach Brian Miller said. “We were sloppy down the stretch handling the ball and turned it over a few times, but we stepped up and made some big free throws.”
Reese Read and Derrick Stanford each finished with 15. Alex Samples had nine points along with a great defensive night. Stephen Howdeshell added six.
The Bulls travel to Decatur Tuesday.
