Bridgeport (4-6) fell to the eighth-ranked team in Class 2A, Breckenridge, Friday, 61-46. The Bulls suffered a dreadful third quarter, when they only scored three points.
“You can’t expect to beat a top 2A team and score three points in a quarter,” Bridgeport coach Alan Green said. “It was not good timing to have our worst quarter of the season.
“Our energy and focus just wasn’t there coming out of halftime, which is disappointing because those are two things we can control.”
Stephen Howdashell led the way with 18, and Derrick Stanford had 12.
Alex Samples finished with nine, and Dalton Hudson tossed in four.
On Thursday the Bulls defeated Castleberry, 68-55.
Samples finished with 17. Stanford and Howdashell each added 13.
Jonathan Nabors put up nine.
Bridgeport travels to Peaster Friday.
