Boyd takes down Jacksboro

The Boyd Lady Jackets cruised to a 14-2 win over Jacksboro Monday. Boyd (10-7-1) took the lead with six runs in the second, then they put up eight more in the third.

Chandler Hammon, Britney Howard and Linsey Chancellor each had two hits. Hammon knocked in four while also connecting on a home run.

Chelsea Arlington picked up the win going all five innings, giving up four hits and striking out four.

Over the weekend the Lady Jackets captured two games at the Denton Tournament.

Boyd knocked off Mansfield 6-3. Hammon tossed all four innings for the win, while Boyd only managed three hits in the game. Kallie Tyner had a single and an RBI.

The Lady Jackets slipped past Argyle 4-3. Arlington got the win going all five innings and striking out five. Hammon and Howard each had two hits.

Bell High School took down Boyd 12-6. The Lady Jackets gave up 10 runs in the bottom of the second and could never recover.

Howard had three hits and four RBI’s. Savannah Foster ended the night with a couple of hits.
