It took an extra period but the Boyd Yellowjackets outlasted the Alvord Bulldogs Tuesday 61-59 in overtime.

Boyd used a strong first half to take an 11-point halftime lead but Alvord battled back in the second half to tie the game.

Kane Rice led Alvord with 20 points and six rebounds. Casen Baker finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Caleb Wood added eight points and six rebounds.

Alvord will host Millsap Tuesday, while Boyd will enjoy a bye.
