Bearcats snake Panthers

By Messenger Staff | Published Saturday, September 7, 2013

The Paradise Panthers couldn’t catch a break as they lost 22-6 against the Henrietta Bearcats Friday night.

The Bearcats would have held the Panthers (0-2) scoreless, but Dillion Meadows managed an interception and a 96-yard run back to Paradise’s endzone for 6 points.

Henrietta failed to put any numbers up in the fourth, but controlled play in the first three quarters.

About seven minutes into the game, the Bearcats ran in an 11-yard touchdown and made a successful kick to lead 7-0.

While the Panthers were attempting to punt away from their endzone, a botched hike over the kicker’s head gave the Bearcats a safety.

The Bearcats landed two more touchdowns on short runs with only one extra point scored, to cap their night with 22 points.
