Alvord picks up 3 wins

The Alvord Lady Bulldogs went 3-2 at the Ponder Tournament over the weekend.

They opened the tournament with a 60-30 win over Ponder on Thursday.

Katie Claborn led the way with 28 points.

On Friday they suffered their only two losses. Lubbock Trinity defeated Alvord 73-54.

Claborn finished with 19 and Lauren Hart added 13.

Gunter edged the Lady Bulldogs in their next game, 58-54. Bri Ponder had 15 and Hart finished with 11.

Alvord came back to take down Valley View on Saturday 66-38. Lacey Watkins poured in 20 and Hart had 14.

Cierra Rangle hit a free throw with no time left to allow Alvord to edge Sanger in their finale, 47-46.

Claborn led the way with 17 and Watkins scored 12.
