The No. 17 Alvord Lady Bulldogs kept a firm grasp on second place in District 9-2A going into their showdown at Brock Friday.
Alvord defeated Boyd Tuesday, 60-32.
After only leading 10-9 at the end of the first quarter, Alvord (21-9, 7-1) outscored Boyd 21-6 in the second.
Carley King led the way for Alvord with 21, and Marissa Schedcik added 13. Ariel Rogers tossed in nine, and Katie Claborn scored six. Lauren Hart chipped in five.
Kallie Tyner led Boyd with 13, and Amber Montgomery had eight.
Last Friday Alvord knocked off Peaster 63-44.
Schedcik led the way with 23, and King had 13. Claborn finished with 12.
