Alvord picked up a district opening win against Paradise (8+6, 0-1) Tuesday. The Bulldogs scored all the runs they needed in the first, jumping out to a 3-0 lead.
J.D. Pearson would knock in the Panthers lone run in the top of the fifth. Alvord would add one more in the sixth.
Casen Baker had two hits and all four RBI’s to lead the Bulldogs. He also got the win, going all seven innings allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven.
Dillon Meadows took the loss for Paradise.
Boyd travels to Alvord Tuesday while Paradise hosts Brock.
