Widows of America to meet

The Wise Chapter of Widows of America will meet for its monthly luncheon-meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, in the Fairview Baptist Church Annex Building at the corner of Farm Road 407 and Farm Road 2264. Widows of all ages are welcome to attend.

The topic is “From Then to Now,” the history and future of WOA Inc. presented by E. Curina Morris, founder and president.

Lunch will be served. Cost is $3.50, and reservations can be made by calling Jeanne Lewis at 214-779-0874. For information or questions about WOA and its non-profit goals and objectives, call Morris at 940-648-2540.

The Wise chapter is one of three across Denton and Wise counties. The group was organized in June 2000, and the local chapter is sponsored by Fairview Baptist Church.
