Trees available to Oncor customers

By Messenger Staff | Published Saturday, August 24, 2013

Oncor is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation’s Energy-Saving Trees Program to encourage conservation by giving away 8,000 free trees to Oncor customers in its service territory.

The program promotes energy conservation by not only providing the plants, but also educating customers on the best places to plant trees in order to lower cooling costs in the summer and heating costs in the winter while avoiding power lines.

The giveaway started Aug. 19 and will last until all the trees are gone. For more information, visit www.arborday.org/oncor.
