Entry into the parade requires a $10 donation or a new, unwrapped toy per person.

Coffee and donuts will be provided in the morning, and riders will be served Willie’s Famous Chili upon conclusion of ride. It ends in Bridgeport at Harwood Park.

Over the past 13 years the volunteer group composed of motorcycle riders and sponsors have brought more than 5,000 toys and thousands of dollars used in various ways to help people and kids in Wise County.

Local organizations have also benefited from what was once only a toy run for the kids. Money and support has been given to Wise Area Relief Mission and scholarship funds for Wise County students. They’ve also built playgrounds for handicapped children, helped families with their heat and electric bills and provided Christmas dinners.

Last year was the largest Wise County Toy Run ever with more than 2,000 people attending from all over North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.

Even those who don’t ride are encouraged to attend and contribute an unwrapped toy or a $10 donation.

This year’s Wise County Toy Run will once again feature Biker Santa. Police will escort the parade from Decatur to Bridgeport. There will also be an auction and a drawing for an enclosed 14-foot trailer. Tickets for the trailer may be purchased at Bridgeport Automotive. Toys may be dropped off at P&H Muffler Shop and also at Bridgeport Automotive.

Donations can be mailed to Wise County Toy Run, P.O. Box 891, Bridgeport, TX, 76431.
