No increases in either the tax rate or utility fees, and continuing to fix streets.

During a budget workshop Tuesday, the Bridgeport City Council set those parameters to guide its planning for fiscal year 2013-2014.

They will continue the discussion in a second workshop 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the Walter Dale Community Room at Bridgeport Police Station, 1000 Thompson St.

During the regular meeting, the council also:

  • approved airport hangar lease transfers from Terry Cross to Tony Garner, Larry Neal to Terry Cross and Larry Neal to Steve Dickerson;

  • took no action on a request to rename Doctors Hospital Drive after Wise Regional Health System asked that the item be withdrawn from the agenda;
  • reviewed the payment report for June 20 through July 3 in the amount of $429,799.19; and
  • OK’d the June 18 meeting minutes.
