Former Alvord City Administrator Richard (Ricky) Tow Jr. has been named city manager of Bowie.

Tow arrives at Bowie after being city manager in Cameron, in Central Texas, since 2008. He served as city administrator and public works director in Alvord from 1997 to 2008.

Tow and his wife are both graduates of Alvord High School, and he was chief of the Alvord Volunteer Fire Department from 1988 to 2000.
