Swap meet opens Thursday

Car enthusiasts from far and wide will descend upon Wise County next week for the annual Decatur Swap Meet.

Vendors will be set up 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, Feb. 24, rain or shine at the Wise County Sheriff’s Posse Grounds on Farm Road 51 south.

The meet, sponsored by the Wise County Antique Auto Club, has boasted more than 3,000 vendors the last few years, and it’s the first major automotive swap meet of the season in the South Central United States.

Admission is free, and there are concessions available on site.
