The Paradise School Board will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, in the board room for a budget workshop.
In previous meetings, Superintendent Monty Chapman said preliminary budget numbers showed the district heading into the 2013-2014 school year in the hole by as much as $300,000. Some major adjustments are anticipated to balance the bottom line, even with the restoration of some previously eliminated state funding.
One thing board members had already agreed on was that no teaching jobs are on the chopping block. Last year, PISD was forced to trim its budget by $170,000.
