Thursday, the Alvord ISD board of trustees should finally get a look at the contract for the big paving project that is well underway at the high school and middle school campuses.

The board will meet 5 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at the administration building.

Consideration of that contract, which is $1.15 million for 340,000 square feet of concrete paving, is one of 10 items on the board’s regular agenda. North Texas Contracting began work on June 24 under a letter of understanding that gave the company 45 working days to finish the project.

The school board will also make several changes on district bank accounts, consider selling the old middle school building as well as a trailer house at the Project Center, consider the purchase of a Suburban or similar vehicle, and consider student/athletic insurance policies for the coming school year.

Also on the agenda are budget amendments and personnel recommendations.

The meeting is open to the public and anyone may attend.
