The Decatur City Council will hear reports on the airport, Civic Center and library as well as updates on the city’s finances and the Main Street program prior to its 6 p.m. meeting Monday at City Hall.
The staff reports begin at 5:30.
Finance Director and Airport Manager Brad Burnett will review current projects at the airport and go over revenues, expenses and finance issues for the council.
Civic Center Director Lori Sherwood will discuss scheduled events, and Main Street Director Frieda Hanley will talk about organization, promotions, design and economic restructuring. Library Director Patricia Peters will submit a written report.
During the meeting, the council will consider taking action on the proposed zoning change on the Sheriff’s Posse Grounds along Farm Road 51 South, from single-family to thoroughfare business. The proposal drew no comment during an initial public hearing last Monday.
They will also hear and discuss a presentation by Decatur Poice Sgt. Delvon Campbell regarding Texas Citizens on Patrol.
