Wise County’s new mobile command post will be parked on the Courthouse Square in Decatur Monday morning so county commissioners can tour it during their regular meeting.
The meeting, which is open to the public, starts at 9 a.m. in the third-floor conference room of the courthouse the group will recess at 10 a.m. to inspect the new, state-of-the-art vehicle, which will be stationed primarily at crime scenes or as a base at large grass fires.
Commissioners will reconvene at 10:30 a.m.
Prior to breaking for the tour, the group is scheduled to consider the appointment of Scott Farver and Jerry McEntire to the Wise County Emergency Services District No. 1 board of directors.
They will also discuss clarification of information regarding the hiring process for the county fire marshal position.
