Northwest ISD officials will present a concise version of the 2013-2014 budget at a school board meeting Monday.
The document, which was adopted in the summer, is organized into introductory, organizational, financial, school/programs and information sections, and it provides an opportunity to disseminate and discuss the financial plan.
The information is structured to meet the requirements for prestigious awards and honors.
Trustees will name a principal for Carl E. Schluter Elementary and consider revisions to the Board of Trustees Standards of Professional Practice – an item tabled from the board’s last meeting.
Officials will also form committees to select instructional materials for the district and consider an agreement with the city of Rhome for the school resource officer program.
At the beginning of the meeting, the board will hold public hearings on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) and the improvement plan for Steele Accelerated High School, which received an “improvement needed” rating in 2013.
Trustees will also hear reports on No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified Teachers, September financials and the effectivness of advanced academics districtwide.
The meeting begins with a closed session at 6 p.m. It will be held in the NISD executive boardroom at 2001 Texan Drive in Fort Worth.
