Nov. 22, 2013, marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy during a motorcade in Dallas in 1963.

The Messenger is planning a special news feature on this event that changed the course of history, documenting the impressions and involvement of Wise County people in the news of that day.

If you are old enough to remember it, we’d like to make your memories a part of the story. If you saw the Kennedys in Fort Worth that morning, or were in Dallas that fateful day, we’re especially interested in sharing your recollections with our readers.

Please email or, or call the Messenger at 940-627-5987 and leave us a voice mail.
