Northwest trustees to talk about new HS

By Messenger Staff | Published Saturday, January 12, 2013

Along with a breakdown of steps that need to be taken before the opening of a comprehensive high school No. 3 in August 2015, the Northwest School Board will discuss one of the first moves – boundary revisions – at its January meeting Monday.

Although the meeting starts at 7 p.m., the board will first have a special workshop to discuss STAAR and the challenges it presents to the district.

Both will take place in the board room of the administration building, 2001 Texan Drive, in Fort Worth.

Among other issues, the board will also discuss the budget calendar and parameters for the 2013-2014 school year, vote on high school course additions, deletions and revisions, and discuss extending a demographic services contract.

District officials will also hold a public hearing on the Academic Excellence Indicator System and present a construction update.
