A familiar face will fill a vacant post at Northwest ISD.
At its meeting Monday, the school approved a recommendation by Superintendent Karen G. Rue to name Kim Caley the district’s executive director of human resources.
Caley is the current principal at NISD’s Carl E. Schluter Elementary School.
“Ms. Caley has served as an educational leader in Northwest ISD for 14 years,” Rue said. “As she transitions into her new role, I look forward to her leadership and expertise as she recruits and retains exceptional educators to our school district.”
Caley has worked in Northwest ISD since 1999, serving as a principal and assistant principal at J. Lyndal Hughes Elementary School. She was also an assistant principal and campus instructional teacher at NISD’s Justin Elementary School.
Prior to a career at Northwest ISD, she worked in Grapevine/Colleyville and Denton ISDs.
“Hiring excellent teachers and staff is critical to the mission of Northwest ISD,” Caley said in a news release issued by the district. “I am looking forward to working to ensure the human resources department continues to hire and preserve the finest quality educators and support staff to work in Northwest ISD.”
Caley earned her master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Woman’s University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate of educational leadership with a concentration in human resources from Nova Southeastern University and is scheduled to graduate in the summer 2014.
Caley will begin her new position after her replacement at Schluter Elementary is hired.
