Investigators seek stolen boat, play fort

Wise County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for someone who stole a boat and a children’s outdoor wooden fort from a home in the 300 block of Long Branch Drive in Decatur.

Witnesses saw a man in a pickup leave the property with the boat and the fort loaded on top of it. They described the pickup as a green, ’97 or ’98 model Ford step-side.

The boat is a 19-foot blue and white 1989 Hurricane tri-hull with a 150-horsepower Johnson outboard motor. The children’s fort is described as having two rock climbing walls, a set of monkey bars, a swing set, a fireman’s pole and a slide.
